Give old clothes a new life: give them to charities, friends and neighbors, thrift stores, or people in need, sell them at yard sales, or cut them up and use them for fabric and rags. Thrift stores and yard sales are also fun to shop at. If you decide to buy new clothes, try and make sure that they'll hold up for a while (here are some pointers on how to tell).
